Hemp has been cultivated in the US for industrial purposes such as twine, rope, and linen since the beginning of the European settlements in the mid 1600's. Hemp was essential in the new country for survival staples. Thomas Jefferson has been quoted as saying “Hemp is of first necessity to wealth and protection of the country”. As the frontier moved west, hemp spread from Kentucky to Illinois, and on to Nebraska. By the close of the 19th century, the young state of Nebraska was number three in US hemp production.
Huskerland Hemp is born out of a small family run dairy and row crop farm operation. Our family’s emphasis has always been focused on quality and production, while treating the land and the livestock with the greatest of respect. As a childhood boy, our founder gardened tomatoes peddling the produce in nearby residential areas and with local grocery stores.
Nebraska is well suited for the cultivation of superb hemp because of the sunny hot humid summers it experiences. Our hemp beds are comprised of rich, black, Blue River soils amended for optimum hemp growth and quality. These factors coupled with the selection of the industries best genetics enables our family to bring you the highest quality hemp products available.
Unfortunately, in this age of fakes, frauds, and pretenders, the CBD hemp industry is no different. There is an abundance of hemp products in the marketplace that would have you think they are the real thing, when in fact they are made of extracts of whole plant parts and hemp seeds, etc. These products commonly need to boast of ultrahigh concentrations of CBD because they are produced from inferior hemp plant parts and products. Recent scientific investigations have shown seven out of ten CBD products are not what their label states. There are also many foreign products in the market that can be tainted.

First and foremost, we select the leading CBD genetics for quality. Our plants are completely hand grown and cared for. They are hand harvested and then naturally dried in open air sheds. After drying, the hemp bloom material is hand stripped. Only the bloom from the hem plants we grow is used in making the products we offer you.
